Well following some website relaunching and general advertising of the business, work has really started to pick up.
I have taken the conscious decision to concentrate on my portraits, commercial and corporate work, so I will no longer be taking wedding enquiries.
I have rekindled my association with Vital Agency, who work on behalf of Marston’s Brewery to promote their pub new builds and refurbishments, starting at the newly named Deers Rest in Romford Essex.
This pub has a 300 year history and was, until recently, called the Bear. both names are significant because as well as being visited by Deer in the grounds, it was also once the home of a real life bear who lived in the pub gardens.
Doka, the construction firm are building a new headquarters in Sittingbourne and I was commissioned to shoot the initial stages of construction. Hopefully, this will be an ongoing commission until the end of the year when the project should be nearing completion.
With the political happenings in the country at the moment, Swale Council asked me to photograph their new councillors. For the first time in it’s history, there is no overall majority at Swale Council, so it made for quite an eclectic mix of new councillors.
In other news, I have a new email address now, having taken advantage of the more secure Protonmail service and this is email@example.com, so all new enquiries should be directed via this address and my new look website can be found at http://www.richardcookphotographics.co.uk. You can also use the equiry form at the bottom of this page.
Christmas is coming and perhaps now is the time to think about maybe getting a portrait shoot done or to give vouchers for a shoot that can be exchanged later.
Shoots can be family oriented, in the traditional way or given a seasonal feel for Christmas cards etc. Or why not book a daring Christmas boudoir shoot? As I mentioned, vouchers are available in denominations of £10 to £200 and these can be used as part or full payment towards any kind of shoot.
Please contact me for further information or take a look at both of my websites for inspiration. http://www.richardcookphotographics.co.uk or http://www.glamourboudoirstudio.co.uk
Here’s some ideas to get started.
I originally qualified in Commercial and Corporate photography and this is still an important part of my work. A project that I undertook a while ago now, was to record the demolition of the Sittingbourne Paper Mill. This was the beginnings of the ‘Spirit of Sittingbourne’ regeneration project. In some ways it was sad to see the end of the old Mill with it’s iconic water tower and it is arguable as to whether it should have been saved or not. It isn’t my place to get involved in the politics of this though.
I took several pictures and also went back after the site was cleared except for the water tower which was demolished later on. A Morrisons Supermarket and a housing development now occupy the site.
Here is a small showcase of my work at the time.
Zoe is a customer from a few years back and she wanted some tasteful pictures to show off her body art. This was one of my favourites from the set. If you would like to book a similar shoot, please get in touch by contacting me on firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01795 478522 also details on the website: http://www.glamourboudoirstudio.co.uk

Well, it’s been a while since my last blog and in that time I have been thinking about ways to improve my product.
As you may remember, I temporarily dropped Wedding Photography as a main brand, because my forté is and always have been Portrait and Commercial Photography. However, due to public interest, I have decided to re-introduce wedding photography on a smaller scale, with just the one, high quality, premium package. So if you would like wedding photography then this is the package I am offering. It covers just about everything required with photography from preparation through to the first dance, complete with a high quality Vanilla Wedding album. I will no longer be offering a disc of images as this can interfere with my copyright and also impact upon any future print sales.
You may think that this is ‘old school’ but we never used to offer our negatives in the days of all film photography and digital files are the modern equivalent.
Full details of my wedding photography can be found here on my website: https://www.richardcookphotographics.co.uk/weddings.php
I look forward to hearing from you.

You will find them at www.richardcookphotographics.co.uk and www.glamourboudoirstudio.co.uk Mention my Blog and receive 20% off of your first booking for a limited period.
You will notice that the Wedding pages are no longer there. This is simply because I need to concentrate on my portraits and commercial work, which needs a boost. So please get in touch and book some shoots so that I can get my business re-launched and back on the radar 🙂
Studio area ready to go.
The astute amongst you will notice an important change to my website. The wedding pages have disappeared.
This is simply because, from now on, I am concentrating on my Commercial and Portrait work. But don’t worry, I am still available to quote for weddings should the need arise. I am just not promoting them anymore, simply because, I want to push my other work more and after all
